A versatile system made up of professionals and focusing on Quality: Centrolegno has obtained the qualification issued by the Ministry of Public Works of “Center for the transformation of structural elements in timber” (98/11 – CL) and can guarantee to the client and to the project managers all necessary and mandatory certifications for each material and service offered.

The high professionalism and specialization in the projects execution is a peculiarity that over time has allowed us to grow, proposing and using timber constructions as the best solutions and technologies that the market can offer. Centrolegno, aware of the relevant role of the design phase, collaborates with the top expert in the field Dr. Eng. Attilio Marchetti Rossi who provides the exstensive experience and expertise of his studio for our achievements and your ideas.

What is BIM (Building Information Modeling)

BIM stands for “Building Information Modeling” or a Building Information Model.
The NIBS (National Institutes of Building Science) defines BIM as the “digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of an object”.
The term “BIM” is also used to indicate the new generation of 3D architectural CADs that are not limited to the design of simple graphic elements (lines, polylines, circles, arcs, etc.), but allow to design by drawing the technical components of the building (walls, load-bearing structures, windows, doors, etc.).

A BIM model contains information about the building or its parts such as geographic location, geometry, materials and technical elements, construction phases, maintenance operations. The BIM allows to integrate within a model all the information useful in every design phase, from the architectural to the executive one (structures, systems, safety, maintenance, energy performance, etc.) and management (metric calculations, suppliers, etc. ).

BIM is a collaborative and integration-based method of design. The BIM model can be used by installers and structural engineers, by architects and accountants, by the builder, by the editors, by the auditors, by testers, really everyone working at a project.A “BIM oriented” design offers extraordinary competitive advantages: more efficiency and productivity, less errors, less downtime, lower costs, greater interoperability, maximum information sharing, more precise and consistent project control.
